GUIDELINES FOR THE STUDENTS

   
Academic Year
1.

The college admits students to its undergraduate and postgraduate courses every year. The admission procedures usually extend from mid-May to early-July and classes begin around mid-July.

   
2.

The academic calendar of the college/university is from July to June.

   
Admission
1.

The list of candidates selected for admission will be displayed at the college Notice Board.

   
2.

Admission is open to all those who pass the prescribed minimum qualification.

   
3.

Admissions are provisional, subject to verification of required documents and eligibility condition.

   
4.

The candidate whose results are awaited or who have got supplementary in 10+2 can also apply. Such candidate, however, must produce the mark sheet/degree certificate if successful as proof for the required eligibility criteria. The admission will be purely on provisional basis and no admission fee will be refunded in any circumstances.

   
5.

The candidate shall enter the address for correspondence and permanent address in prescribed admission form.

   
6.

ATKT students are eligible to study in the next semester.

   
7.

The medium of teaching will be English/Hindi.

   
Rejection of Application Form
The application form will be rejected in any of the following reasons:
   
1.

The candidate doesn't fulfill the eligibility conditions.

   
2.

Barkatullah University doesn't recognize the qualifying examination of the student. In such case admission fee will not be refunded.

3.

Required admission fee not submitted before or on closing date of admission.

Identity Card
1.

Students will be issued an Identity Card by the college after taking admission. Students are advised to keep the identity card safely till the completion of the calendar year. Students will have to produce the identity card at the entrance gate of the college, in library and when asked to do so by the authorities.

   
2.

If the original Identity Card is lost, a duplicate card can be obtained from the college on payment of Rs. 50/-

Library
1.

College has its own well maintained library consisting of about 4,000 books of different subjects along with periodicals and journals, CD, and DVDs.

   
2.

Books are issued to the students for one week. If books are not returned within the due date then Rs. 3 will be charged per day against late submission.

3.

However during main term-end examination books are issued for longer period till their papers are finished.

Fees Refund
Fees will not be refunded in the following cases:
   
1.

If the student has taken provisional admission and his/her result in supplementary examination has not been cleared.

   
2.

If the student leaves the course in mid of the session.

Ragging
1.

Sect College is a ragging-free campus. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited and would attract disciplinary action and the punishment of expulsion from college.

   
2.

Ragging has been defined as: "Any act causing, inducing, compelling or forcing a student, whether by way of a practical joke or otherwise, to do any act which detracts from human dignity or violates his person or exposes him to ridicule or forbears from doing any lawful act, by intimidating, wrongfully restraining, wrongfully confining, or injuring him or by using criminal force to him or by holding out to him any threat of such intimidation, wrongful restraint, wrongful confinement, injury or the use of criminal force"

So ragging is strictly prohibited and students are advised to maintain discipline in the campus.

   
Attendance
1.

According to University, 75% of attendance is compulsory in each course. Failing to do so, student may not be allowed to take their practical and main examination.

   
Uniform
1.

All students should come in college uniform which is as follows:

   

Boys : White Shirt and Black Trousers.

   

Girls : White Kurta and Black Salwar.

   
Assignments/Tests/Projects For Continuous Comprehensive
Evaluation(CCE)
1.

All the courses are of semester wise and each semester consists of six months. During the period of programme, assignment/tests/presentations will be given to the students for continuous self-study and improvement. In each semester two CCEs and one Project will be conducted.

   
2.

These assignments/tests/projects will serve as feedback and will be counted towards the internal assessment in each paper.

   
Term-End Examination
1.

College will conduct pre-university examinations before the commencement of term-end examinations. Pre-University and Term-End Examination are compulsory for every students.

   
2.

Barkatullah University will organize the examination at various centers of Bhopal.

   
3.

Date of examination along with the examination center will be notified by the University and will be displayed at the college notice board.

   
4.

The medium of examination will be English/Hindi as chosen by the students.

   
5.

Admission card for the examination have to be collected by the student itself from the college.

   
6.

Admissions card for the examination will only be issued to those students who have paid their all kinds of dues.

   
7.

College will not be responsible for the Revaluation and Re-Totaling of the Term-End Examination. Students themselves have to contact University for the concerned work.

   
8.

A candidate eligible for ATKT/Supplementary examination may appear in the next term-end examination.
